Help homestay families and guides that are part of the Path get through this disaster

At 1:24 pm on February 6th, a massive earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale hit Southeastern Turkey and Syria. This and follow-up earthquakes killed more than 20,000 of people and flattened countless homes. Electricity is out. Winter has set in with cold and snow. Resources are limited and surviving structures are filled with people seeking shelter.

Abraham Path is assisting homestay hosts and walking guides that live in the affected are. You may donate on this page, or send your gift via Paypal (using "@abrahampath") or Zelle (using "anisa@abrahampath.org), noting "Emergency Relief Fund" in the memo.

Two hundred and fifty kilometers of Abraham’s Path in Turkey traverse this area, from Mount Nemrut down to the villages of Yuvacali, Kisas, Sogmatar, and on to the historic town of Harran and the city of Sanliurfa. Our friends and colleagues are suffering great loss and need our help at this desperate time.

Please do what you can by donating today. We will make sure the funds help the families that are part of the Path and surrounding communities.
